新华社华盛顿2月1日电 美国总统特朗普2月1日接受美国媒体电话采访时称，他能“轻松”解决联合国财政危机，但他绝口不提美国是否会支付拖欠的联合国会费。
特朗普当天对美国《政治报》称，并未意识到美国拖欠联合国会费这一情况，但他确信可以“轻松解决这个问题”，只要联合国开口请求，他就能“让其他国家付钱”。
“我会让所有人都付清欠款，就像我让北约国家付清欠款那样。”他说，“我只要给这些国家打电话……几分钟内他们就会寄来支票。”
联合国秘书长古特雷斯的副发言人哈克1月30日说，古特雷斯已致信所有联合国会员国，警示联合国当前面临的严峻财政形势。尽管去年有150多个会员国缴纳了会费，但目前拖欠会费总额仍高达15.6亿美元，较前年增加一倍。
另据《纽约时报》报道，有联合国高官警告，若资金耗尽，联合国可能被迫缩减各项行动的规模，甚至关闭纽约总部。
“联合国不会离开纽约，也不会离开美国。”特朗普说，联合国拥有巨大潜力，“当我不能平息战争时，联合国可以做到，它拥有巨大潜力”。
