BEIJING, Apr 18 (China Economic Net) - The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing marked the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China on Friday with a “Chancery Showcase and Tree Planting Ceremony.” The event, held at the Embassy's Chancery, was organized in partnership with the Silk Road Cities Alliance, Jinshang Group, and WTL Design.
The ceremony featured live musical performances, a video presentation detailing the Chancery’s renovation, and a symbolic tree planting to mark the occasion. The newly renovated Chancery building, which blends traditional Pakistani architecture with modern design elements, was the centerpiece of the event, underscoring the enduring nature of Pakistan-China ties.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, addressed the attendees, which included diplomats, Chinese officials, business leaders, media representatives, and cultural figures. He noted the significance of the event, emphasizing that the renovation and tree planting were symbols of renewal, resilience, and the enduring friendship between the two nations. “The Chancery’s renovation represents not just a physical upgrade, but a reflection of the strong, continuous bond between our two countries,” said Ambassador Hashmi.
The event also highlighted the Chancery as more than just a diplomatic space. Ambassador Hashmi explained that the upgraded facility would serve as a platform for cultural exchange and public diplomacy, fostering greater people-to-people ties between Pakistan and China.
As the ceremony concluded, the planting of trees symbolized the roots of a strong, future-oriented partnership, reflecting the shared values and vision of both nations.
