Jerusalem, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Defense Minister Katz said on the 30th that Israel may "soon need" to resume military operations against Iran. According to the Ministry of Defense, 6500 tons of military equipment, including a large amount of aviation ammunition, have arrived in Israel within the past 24 hours.
On the same day, Katz said at an Israeli military award ceremony that Iran had suffered an "extremely heavy blow" in the past year. He also stated that although Israel supports negotiations between the United States and Iran, it may "soon need to take action again". Katz also said that Israel is "always ready to strike the enemy on any front and at any location.
When it comes to the situation in Lebanon, Katz said that Israel will continue to take action against Hezbollah, "just like we did in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli military will destroy all armed infrastructure within the "security buffer zone" established by the Israeli side in southern Lebanon.
